Reimagining Family Wellbeing: Connection Science, Working Parents, and Sustainable Mental Wellbeing

Health Matters: connection science and family wellbeing

Parenting in today’s fast-paced environment brings its own set of challenges. Between balancing career demands and maintaining a supportive home life, working parents often face high levels of stress, cognitive load and burnout. On the upcoming episode of Health Matters, host Gareth Presch is joined by Dr Gauri Seth, a psychiatrist and medical doctor by training and now Founder of Attune IN®, which focuses on education and coaching. Together they explore how connection science can transform long-term family wellbeing and mental wellbeing.

Connection science and Brain-Based Connection®

Dr Gauri Seth trained as a medical doctor and psychiatrist, holding qualifications including MBChB, BSc (Hons), MRCPsych, PG Cert and CCP, with experience spanning adult psychiatry, family systems and perinatal psychiatry. Having trained at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience and worked across the NHS and King’s College London, Dr Seth went on to develop her own proprietary educational methodology, Brain-Based Connection®.

Brain-Based Connection® translates insights from neuroscience and psychotherapy into practical, everyday tools for families. Through attuned, connected parenting education, parents can learn to manage working parent guilt, navigate digital wellbeing, support emotional regulation for neurodivergent children, and build resilience across every stage of family life.

Strategic partnership with WHISKids and WHISatwork

Attune IN® is now a strategic partner with affiliated status with WHISKids and WHISatwork. Delivering safe, credible, evidence-based mental wellbeing support for accessible solutions for both individuals and organisations. Through this partnership, wellbeing tools focused on preventing disconnection are brought directly to workplaces, parents and young people.

Through WHISatwork, Attune IN helps address employee burnout and retention by lowering home-life cognitive load and providing structured support for working parents.

Through WHISKids, Attune IN offers digital tools for parents and children focused on connection, emotional wellbeing and positive family relationships.

The Attune IN® platform offers signature keynotes, self-paced video modules, hybrid coaching and digital tools, covering topics from early childcare transitions to teenage parenting and parental self-care. (Use codes WHISKids or WHISatwork.)

Family resilience and global wellbeing

When organisations and health systems invest in preventing disconnection early, the positive impact reaches beyond the workplace, strengthening families and wider communities.

Dr Seth’s work, recognised by the World Health Organization’s Department of Digital Health and Innovation and supported by an academic advisory board from King’s College London, Harvard Medical School and the University of Liverpool, shows how connection science can drive meaningful change in global wellbeing.
